Polyimide tape (also sometimes known as Kapton tape) can be a key to your operation. Polyimide tapes stay constant across a wide range of temperatures from 269°C to +400°C.
Polyimide tape is utilized in electronic components for space exploration, as well as in aircraft, x-rays and 3D printing.
Additional features of our polyimide film tape include excellent solvent resistance, insulation rank H and no residue upon removal. Typical applications for polyimide film tape include wrapping and fixing of electronic components, coils, transformers and capacitors. Our polyimide film tape (SB401) is suitable for protecting gold fingers when PCB is through tin stove as well as wave soldering.
SB401 is a 1.0 mil polyimide film tape coated with 1.6 mils of a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) and is gold in color. This product features moderate adhesion and high shear strength combined with excellent resistance to both low and high temperatures.
Typical applications for the polyimide film tape include wrapping and fixing electronic components, coils, transformers and capacitors.
